The New President of the Texas-Statewide Virtual Student Chapter and Member of the Board of the AIPG Texas Section.

Henry Wise, P.G., C.P.G., President of the AIPG Texas Section, announced the appointment of Roberto Reyna, a graduate student working on a masters degree in geology at the University of Houston Department of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences, as the new Student Councilor-at-Large for the American Institute of Professional Geologists (AIPG) – Texas Chapter.  Mr. Reyna will also serve on the AIPG-TX Board and serve as President of the Texas Statewide Student Chapter.

Mr. Reyna will provide oversight and input for the general content of this web page, blog monitoring, etc. The format and content of this webpage will no doubt evolve over time. For example, below is a list of all 27 Texas universities and colleges with geoscience programs. Each school is invited to join in the activities of the Texas Statewide Student Chapter. Once you apply for membership in this Virtual Student Chapter you will be provided with ID and PW. To do so, you will need to apply for Student Member status of AIPG (it is free to students). Join online (here).

If you have any questions about the content on this web-page, or how the AIPG can help you in your path to becoming a Professional Geologist, feel free to contact Mr. Reyna.
