The AIPG-Texas Section was well represented at the recent, well-attended, AAPG Workshop on Energy Resources in Houston, Texas at the popular Norris Conference Center. The following list contains 17 bills that I've been following based on their their geological impact, and those that were sent to the Governor for his signature/veto.  He has 10 days to approve or veto these bills. If he does neither, the bill will automatically become law after 10 days. Henry Wise, P.G., C.P.G. announced today that he has appointed James Ridgway, P.G., C.P.G. as the new District I Representative covering West Texas, and to the AIPG Texas Section Board of Directors. Ridgway brings a diverse industrial geoscience background to his new position. He maintains a home in Tom Green County and will be making his presence known in District I from San Angelo to Amarillo to El Paso, and to Midland and Odessa from time to time.
