She has 25+ years of experience in the oil and gas industry and academia in Europe and USA in positions ranging from exploration, development, research and management. She obtained her Diploma at the University of Erlangen, Germany, and her Ph.D. at the University of Colorado at Boulder.

He is a research engineer and geochemist with the U.S. Geological Survey Central Energy Resources Science Center in Denver, Colorado, where he has worked since 2009 and is currently the Denver project chief for the USGS Energy Resources Program’s Gulf Coast Petroleum Systems Research project.

2. Lucy Ko, Vice-Chair
She is a Research Associate at the Bureau of Economic Geology, the University of Texas at Austin. She received her B.A. degree from the National Taiwan University, her M.S. degree from the Colorado School of Mines, and her PhD from UT-Austin.

He is a graduate of the Ohio State University (Bachelor’s degree in geology and hydrogeology) and a graduate of Rice University (Master’s degree on geology and geophysics. To date, he has been serving as a professional geologist/hydrogeologist for 54 years (See publications (more).

He has a B.A. History and a B.Sc. Geological Sciences from the University of Texas, and is currently the global product manager for gas hydrates and marine minerals for Fugro and a marine geologist with over 20 years of experience.
