James Ridgway is a Senior Geologist with more than a decade of experience leading exploration, resource modeling, and mine planning initiatives across the North American aggregates sector. His technical background spans drilling program design, sonic and hard rock core logging, reserve and resource estimation, and GIS driven geological assessments for greenfield, brownfield, and M&A due diligence projects.

Mr. Ridgway currently serves as Senior Geologist for North America at Heidelberg Materials, where he oversees multi site drilling programs, develops short and long term mine plans in collaboration with engineering teams, and authors PERC compliant geological reports for operational and acquisition targets. He manages reserve and resource reporting for the company’s full North American portfolio and plays a key role in supporting strategic growth initiatives including mergers, acquisitions, and early stage greenfield evaluations. In addition to his technical responsibilities, he leads intern development and coordinates department wide drilling schedules across the North American footprint.

Prior to his current role, Mr. Ridgway spent eight years as the Company Geologist and Environmental Specialist with CSA Materials, Inc. There he built and maintained company wide SWP3 programs, ensured compliance with TCEQ and EPA regulatory standards, and conducted drone based inventory surveys for production planning as well as inventory reporting. He also directed exploratory drilling operations, performed comprehensive core logging to evaluate aggregate viability for TxDOT and private-sector projects, and produced mine plans and life of mine reserve assessments. His work included community outreach and guest lecturing for Angelo State University’s Geology and Physics Department.

Beyond his corporate responsibilities, Mr. Ridgway contributes to the advancement of the geologic profession as the AIPG Texas District 1 Representative, supporting professional development, outreach, and advocacy within the field.

Mr. Ridgway holds dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Geoscience and Applied Physics, with minors in English and Mathematics from Angelo State University.
