Apply for the AIPG-Texas Section Foss and Shoemaker scholarships

Texas geoscience students can apply online below and receive notifications via email. Applications are accepted year-round. Applications received on or before February 1 will be considered for that year’s scholarships; applications received after February 1 will be considered for the following year’s scholarships.

The Ted H. Foss Undergraduate Scholarship is available to students enrolled at an accredited four-year college or university in Texas who have attained at least sophomore standing.

The Gene M. Shoemaker Graduate Scholarship is available to students in at least the first year of a graduate geoscience program at an accredited university in Texas.

    All fields marked with * are required, and you’ll upload your supporting documents directly with the application. You’ll receive an email confirmation once your application is submitted.

Please note: Your letter of recommendation must be emailed directly by your geology/geoscience professor by the February 1 deadline for your scholarship cycle. Your application is not complete until that letter is received.
